REMEMBRANCE DAY 2009
Our PR Officer & Asst Secretary, Karen Dawson, was invited to attend a Ceremony and Assembly at The Kings' School on Remembrance Day. Karen made a presentation to the six boys who carried our banner on Anzac Day 2009, and also to the coordinator, Stacey Quitzou for her invaluable assistance each year in organizing the boys for us.
Stacey was presented with a beautiful bunch of Australian Native wildflowers and a Certificate of Appreciation. Our wonderful Banner-Bearers were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation and a collector’s tin of Anzac Biscuits. Karen said that The Kings' School gave her a most gracious welcome, and a truly memorable day. The presentation has further concreted our association with the school who has become such an integral and invaluable part of our participation in the Anzac Day march, as was mentioned in her address to the Assembly.
Our banner was very ably carried this year by David Sirkins, Stefan Dizzardi, Adrian Biasi, Zac McLoughlan, Brian Taylor and Damien Bool. Our sincere thanks to the boys for their wonderful professionalism and for their invaluable assistance.
